Celebrate Independence Day in Gettysburg
Join the Gettysburg Area Community for a celebration of America’s Independence. Hosted by Destination Gettysburg, the Gettysburg Area Recreation Authority and the Rotary Club of Gettysburg, this event will be held on July 4th at the Gettysburg Rec Park starting at 6pm. Music, food trucks, and fireworks will highlight the holiday event.
While in Gettysburg over the holiday weekend, consider staying at The Inn at Herr Ridge and experience Gettysburg as you step back into history. This historic tavern will be featuring “Dinner with a ghost”. This event blends history, fine dining and paranormal investigation into a night of anticipation and wonderment unlike any other. The Dinner with a ghost experience is uniquely satisfying because it fully engages the body, mind and spirit through a multi-course gourmet meal, riveting presentation on the history and key personalities of the host location, and warm engagement with any spirits on hand. This is a once in a lifetime event you can talk about for years to come. Your dinner begins with a champagne reception at 8pm followed with dinner featuring a 4 course gourmet meal and then at 10pm a guided investigation of this historic Inn. Tickets are on sale now.
